The Mysterious Stone Of The Dargah Of Ajmer Sharif
Everyone knows about the Dargah of Ajmer Sharif. Along with the Muslims, a large number of Hindus also come here every year. It is believed that after coming here everyone’s desires are fulfilled. The construction of Ajmer was started by Akbar. And after Akbar’s death, Jahangir completed his remaining work. Very good quality carvings have been done at Dargah. The view of the entrance of the dargah and the beauty of the round dome is incomparable. The scene of the artwork of Hindus and Muslims is clearly visible in this dargah. Built on the bottom of the hill of Taragarh, there is a silver katghara in this dargah. And this is where Moinuddin Chishti’s Mazar located. This Katghara was built by Raja Jai Singh of Jaipur. There is also an amphitheater (Mahfilkhana) in this dargah, where Qawwals do Qawwali for Khwaja. There are several buildings around the dargah which make the dargah more beautiful. But the main attraction of this dargah is the rock which is swinging in the air. This rock is on the height of 2 inches from the ground. Many scientists and researchers have done research here. But they are still unable to find the secret of this swinging stone. According to stories, devil once challenged Moinuddin Chishti for the war. After this, Khwaja Ji cursed that devil and he turned into a rock. When the devil asked Khwaja Ji to withdraw the curse, then Khwaja Ji said that he cannot take his curse back. But he said that you will be at a height of 2 inches from the ground and everybody who comes in my dargah will also worship you.
