After Akbar’s death, his son Jahangir completed the tomb. You will be surprised to know that the height of Akbar’s sleeping room was only 5 feet 8 inches. It is believed that height of Akbar’s room was low so that enemies cannot enter the room easily. Akbar had banned child marriage during his reign. He fixed the age of 14 to girls for marriage. And 16 Years for Boys. Registration Scheme for Marriage Implemented. It was mandatory for the new married couple to register their marriage near Kotwal at that time.
